Kaddesh Li – Ex. 13:1-10

1) God said to Moses: 2) "Sanctify to Me all the first-born, whatever opens the womb among the children of Israel, both of man and of beast, it is Mine." 3) And Moses said to the people: "Remember this day, in which you came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for God brought you out of this place by strength of hand, and no leavened bread may be eaten. 4) This day you go forth in the month Abib. 5) And it will come to pass when God will bring you into the land of the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Amorite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite – which He swore to your fathers to give you; a land flowing with milk and honey – that you will keep this service in this month. 6) You will eat unleavened bread for seven days, and the seventh day will be a feast to God. 7) Unleavened bread will be eaten throughout the seven days; leavened bread will not be seen with you, nor will leaven be seen with you in all your borders. 8) And you will tell you son on that day: 'It is because of this that God acted on my behalf when I went out of Egypt.' 9) And it will serve as a sign for you on your hand, and as a memorial between your eyes, so that the law of God may be in your mouth; for God has brought you out of Egypt with a strong hand. 10) You will therefore keep this ordinance in its season from year to year.

VeHayah Ki Yebi'akha – Ex. 13:11-16

11) And it will come to pass when God will bring you into the land of the Canaanite, as He swore to you and your fathers, and will give it to you, 12) that you will set apart for God all that opens the womb; every first-born beast of yours that is male shall be God's. 13) And every first-born of a donkey you may redeem with a lamb; and if you do not redeem it, then you must break its neck; but you must redeem all the first-born of man. 14) And it will be when your son asks you in the future: "What is this?" that you will say to him, "God brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage, with strength of hand; 15) and it came to pass, when Pharaoh grew hardened against freeing us, that God killed all the first-born in the land of Egypt, from the first-born of man to the first-born of beast; therefore I sacrifice to God all males that open the womb, but I redeem all the first-born of my sons. 16) And it will serve as a sign upon your hand and as frontlets between your eyes; for God brought us out of Egypt with strength of hand."

Shemang – Deut. 6:4-9

4) Hear, O Israel: the Lord is our God, the Lord is one. 5) And thou shalt love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might. 6) And these words that I command you this day will be on your heart; 7) and you will teach them diligently to your children, and talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk on the road, when thou lie down, and when thou rise up. 8) And you will bind them as a sign on your hand, and they will serve as frontlets between your eyes. 9) And you will write them on the door-posts of your house, and on your gates.

VeHayah Ngim Shamoang – Deut. 11:13-21

13) And it will come to pass, if you listen diligently to My commandments that I command you this day, to love the Lord your God, and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul, 14) that I will give the rain of your land in its season, the early and late rain, that you may harvest your corn, wine, and oil. 15) And I will give grass in your fields for your cattle, and you will eat and be satisfied. 16) Guard yourselves, lest your heart be deceived and you turn aside to serve other gods and bow to them; 17) and the anger of God be kindled against you, and He shut up the heavens so that there would be no rain, and the ground would not yield its fruit; and you would perish quickly from the good land which God gives you. 18) Therefore you will place My words in your heart and soul; and you will bind them as a sign upon your hand, and they will serve as frontlets between your eyes. 19) And you will teach them your children, talking of them when you sit in your house, when you walk on the road, when you lie down, and when thou rise up. 20) And you will write them on the door-posts of your house and upon thy gates; 21) so that your days and those of your children may be multiplied upon the land which God swore to your fathers to give them; as the days of the heavens above the earth.
